Vagina Costume Takes a Road Trip
August 2005: Driving across the whole damn country!
On my 3,000+ mile road trip, we took lots of vagina pictures in red states when no one was looking.
Bliss, Idaho. Gotta love it. I had to stop for a picture.
The Vagina Lady honors our dead presidents while at Mt. Rushmore.
In San Francisco, the Badlands is a gay nightclub sometimes accused of racism or lameness. The South Dakota Badlands are undeniably cool.
Another South Dakota attraction: the Corn Palace. Every year the outside is redone - entirely in ears of corn. (Apparently the kids in Mitchell were touched to be included in my list.)
The St. Louis Arch is the tallest monument in the US, some 50 feet taller than the Washington Monument.
Who knew? Nashville, Tennessee is home to the world's only full-scale replica of the Parthenon.
Inside the Parthenon is an enormous statue of Athena, plated in real gold.
Do you have any idea how hot it gets in the South? The Vagina Lady had to cool off in Kentucky Lake.
Oh yes... there are a number of ways in which the South is different from San Francisco.
Ahh... it's nice to be home... but does it have to be so cold?
